  Lament
Lyrics

Jerusalem Jerusalem                                          Jerusalem, Jerusalem

Convertere ad Dominum Deum tuum                 Turn to the Lord your God

Defecerunt prae lacrimis oculi mei                     My eyes have grown dim with tears

Conturbata sunt visera mea                               My bowels have been wrenched and twisted

Lamentione                                                       In lamentation

Magna est enim velut mars contritio tua             Your destruction is as great as the ocean

Quiis mendebitur tui                                          Who will heal you

Jerusalem Jerusalem                                          Jerusalem, Jerusalem

Convertere ad Dominum Deum tuum                 Turn to the Lord your God

Lamentione                                                       In lamentation

Effesum est in terra ie cur meum                        My liver is poured out on the ground

Super contritione filiae populi mei                      Over the destruction of the daughter of my people

Cum deficeret parvulus                                     As the young and the suckling child

Et lactens in plateis oppidi                                 Collapse in the streets of the town

Jerusalem Jerusalem                                          Jerusalem, Jerusalem

Convertere ad Dominum Deum tuum                 Turn to the Lord your God

Lamentione                                                       In lamentation

There are many mistakes in the Latin above.  These are not simple typos on the EMI insert – in several places (mars, quiis mendebitur, effesum) Libera actually sing the wrong word.  And Lamentione does not exist as a word in Latin. – it should be Lamentatione.
