Edward Furlong Born in Glendale, California, Edward Furlong had no acting ambitions until he was approached by a casting agent who suggested him for the role of John Connor in the 1991 movie "Terminator 2: Judgement Day" opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton. For this career starting role, Furlong earned an MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Role and a Saturn Sci-Fi Award for Best Young Actor.

With his sudden popularity, Furlong had a short-lived singing career in Japan before settling back into acting, taking an unconventional route through Hollywood, working predominately in the independent film arena. His work has included starring opposite Jeff Bridges in "American Heart" for which he won an IFP Spirit Award for Best Supporting Actor.
