Amadeus Knabenchor Wien   [Amadeus Boys Choir of Vienna]    (est. 28 June 1995) Celebrating 18 Years This Month Classical Choir of Men and Boys
Print Friendly Page
Amadeus Knabenchor Wien The choir was originally founded in 1956 as the Mozart Sängerknaben on the occasion of Mozart's 200th birthday. The choir was re-founded in 1995 and changed its name to the Amadeus Knabenchor after the death of its founder, Professor Erich Schwarzbauer. Due to legal reasons the name of the choir had to be changed.
It was a charming incident that in 2006 - Mozart's 250th birthday – the choir could obtain its name back and is now again performing under the name MOZART KNABENCHOR WIEN – Mozart Boys Choir Vienna
