Gunther Wassertheürer was born in September 1952. Although he has always lived in England his parents are Austrian and there is a distinct Viennese quality in his voice. In addition to singing as a chorister at St. Margaret's, he has appeared with the English Opera Group in Britten operas at Covent Garden and throughout the country.
