Oliver Sammons Born in Wrexham, Oliver first entered the Welsh Choirboy of the Year competition in 1990, winning second place in the Welsh Regional Final. In June the following year he won the title outright soon after his 12th birthday. A few months later in October 1991, he went on to win the national title of Choirboy of the Year in a competition that attracted 2,000 entries from every corner of Britain.

He has since appeared on television and sang in London's Royal Albert Hall in a duet with Cliff Richards, at Earl's Court, and the Wembley Conference Centre. He also appeared in Cardiff at the Welsh National Stadium.
