David Pickering David Pickering, since winning the final of the Rediffusion Chorister of the Year, 1984, has had the opportunity to expand his musical repertoire through his own church services and concerts as well as churches of an interdenominational nature in the locality; Bramhope Puritan Chapel, Crossgates Methodist Chapel, Wombwell Salvation Army Citadel and St. Paul's R.C. Church at Moortown. He sang in the Ongar Music Society Christmas Concert and in a televised celebration of Christmas called 'Joy to the World' produced by Granada network and shown internationally on Christmas Eve.

David has always loved to sing and he combines this with his interest in theatre. He was selected for the first company of 'Bugsy Malone' staged at her majesty's Theatre in the West End and appeared alongside Tommy Steele in Hans Christian Anderson. He has also played the part of Kurt in 'The Sound of Music' and danced in the Monty Python film 'Meaning of Life'.

In addition he has won scholarships awarded for ballet including the David Blair Memorial Scholarship which entitled him to have expert tuition from the most prestigious dancers and teachers at the Ilkley Ballet Seminars. David was a pupil at Leeds Grammar School at the time of this recording.
