Brenton Azzopardi Brenton Azzopardi lives in Mosta with his parents Pauline and George and his two sisters Mariah and Nicole. He is twelve years old and has a jovial character.

Brenton represented Malta in TI AMO FESTIVAL in Romania May 2007 with the song "Chiedo Aiuto". He was awarded the best prize of all the three categories (overall winner). This is the first time that a singer from Malta received this honour. The crowd and the jury were overwhelmed by his interpretation. So much so that he was also awarded another trophy for the best interpretation and a diploma. Brenton is already invited as a Guest of Honour for the Next Festival in Romania.

Brenton has been attending voice lessons for the past six years. Often he gets invited to participate in various choirs amongst which he was chosen through an audition to form part of the choir "Marru L-Ewropa" (Been to Europe). This choir took part in the National Song for Europe Festival 2000 (Malta.

Furthermore, Brenton was chosen to form part of the choir that sang on the 9th May 2001 during the visit of His Holiness Pope John Paul II for the beatification of Dun Gorg Preca, Nazju Falzon and Adeodata Pisani.

Brenton is involved every eve of the Feast of the Blessed Virgin which is celebrated in the Capital City Valletta, to sing along with a soprano and other tenors the 'Laudate Pueri' and other songs. Lately, he was chosen by means of an audition to form part of the popular St Monica Choir.. He is the youngest soprano in the group.

His participation in numerous festivals has led him to win a substantial number of trophies. On the 9th September 2000 more than thirty youngsters participated in the 'Gaffiero Singers Festival'. Brenton obtained 98 votes out of a maximum of 100 and was classified in the first place for singing "Lit-Tifla Ltima" (The Orphan Child) besides winning the overall cup at the same Festival. On the 15th December 2001, Brenton was amongst 150 competitors to sing during the yearly festival "Fl-Ghaqda l-Melodija" organized by GWU, one of the major trade unions in Malta. Brenton placed first with his song "Qalb ta' Refugjat" (Heart of a Refugee) This song put Brenton on the track of local success as consequently, he participated and won several other festivals. In December 2002, he contested again "Fl-Ghaqda l-Melodija" and for the second time consecutively he placed first with his song "Imbghad Naraw" (Time will Tell). A year later in December 2003, Brenton took part in a festival held in Xaghra Gozo. There he sung in Italian, "Nel Sole", a song by Albano. Yet again, Brenton placed first.

In addition to voice lessons Brenton attends piano and drama lessons. The theatre is one of his favorite pastime interests. He took part in the musical "Il-Hanut tal-Gugarelli" (The Toy Shop), were he played the part of an Indian. This musical was later screened on one of the local TV channels. Additionally, he played the part of a refugee in the serial L-Ispettur Lowell" Inspector Lowell) and played Kurt in the musical "Sound of Music"
