Hans BuchhierlDer Tölzer Knabenchor Halleluja - Festliche Musik (Festive Music)
2003 reissue of the superb 1974 LP, "Halleluja: Festliche Musik mit dem Tölzer Knabenchor" (see below in the Tölzer discography) featuring memorable solos by boy soprano, Hans Buchhierl (tracks 2, 8, 9, 10, 11, & 12). A must-have for the Tölzer fan!
Der Tölzer KnabenchorHans BuchhierlAndreas Stein The soloists are Hans Buchhierl (treble), Andreas Stein (alto), Theo Altmeyer (tenor) and Michael Schopper (bass).
The choir and the Collegium aureum are directed by Gerhard Schmidt-Gaden. There is no date on the LP but I assume it is around 1974!
Der Tölzer KnabenchorHans BuchhierlMario Krämer The soloists are Hans Buchhierl, soprano, Mario Krämer, alto, Werner Krenn, tenor and Barry McDaniel, baryton. The Tölzer Knabenchor and the Collegium aureum are under the direction of Gerhard Schmidt-Gaden.
Der Tölzer KnabenchorHans BuchhierlAndreas Stein Reissue of a recording made in Lenggries parish church in April 1973, using Baroque pitch (A=415Hz) and gut strings as well as boys for soprano & alto. Recording as Hans Buchhierl, he sings with a prominent vibrato which interferes with the legato line, but the reissue is welcome as the forces employed approximate to those the composer intended. Also featured are Andreas Stein (q.v.), a very good boy alto, and the Tölzer Knabenchor.
