Located in Albany, New York, the Cathedral Choir of Men and Boys is the oldest Episcopal cathedral choir in America. It was established soon after the cathedral was founded in 1872.
The Choir of Men and Boys is well known for its musical excellence, having toured throughout the eastern United States and England. The choir has performed concerts with several choruses and orchestras in the Northeast, and has also released a number of CDs.
The Choir of Men and Boys sings the principal services at the Cathedral during the choral season, which runs from Labor Day until early-June. New choristers rehearse once a week for one hour, and learn the basics of singing and reading music during a training period.
