Nicolai Kielstrup was born in 1992 and is from the city of Vejle in Jutland. In 2003, when he was 11, he went to see the national Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, because he knew one of the participants. He was fascinated by what he saw and, ever since then, it has been his aim to take part himself.
Nicolai had already written his song for Hasselt, 'Shake, Shake, Shake' in 2004 but at the time he was not quite satisfied with the result. So he waited a year and then finished it in time for the 2005 Danish MGP Jr. final where he won first place. He placed fourth at JESC in 2005. 'Shake-Shake-Shake' was inspired by Razz, the young Danish rapper, who won the 2002 MGP Nordic (the predecessor of JESC).
He is the singer of the group Dream Dance, a product of the late Legoland Show Academy.
Nicolai on the 14/11/07 released his second album, Stage 2. Which will be able to be bought of his web page www.nicolaikielstrup.dk
